I have lived in Boulder since 1976 and totally understand the local real estate market. Learning: This process is crucial to finding the right home, but it is often overlooked. You have to understand what you need and want, what you like and don’t, what you can qualify for, and what is available in our local market. All of this may not be clear at first, and as your Buyer's Agent I will help you through the process of seeing, discussing, and evaluating properties (virtually and in person) until you and I fully understand what you want and need.
Discerning: Once you are clear on what you are looking for, you will be able to recognize it when you see it and then act with confidence. I will never try and sell you anything, but will keep looking until we find the perfect home that you are ready to make an offer on.
Negotiating: This is where the fine arts of uncovering the seller’s motivations and skillfully negotiating can save you real money. Yet Colorado law states that only a Buyer's Broker, not a Transaction Broker, can help do this for you. (See Why You Need Boulder Buyer's Broker for more about this.) In today’s market buyers may have an advantage, but you can lose that edge without a savvy and loyal agent in your corner to help negotiate the best possible deal and terms.
Getting to Closing: While most real estate contracts do close, Murphy’s Law usually operates at some point. My expertise and experience will prevent or quickly resolve closing issues, so you can move into your new home on the date you planned.
